IVY Classic's break-away knives are designed with a sturdy plastic body that provides strength and comfort, along with a convenient pocket clip for easy access. The blade slides out smoothly and locks securely with a locking mechanism to ensure safety and ease of use.

These knives feature segmented blade sections that snap off easily to reveal a new sharp cutting edge, prolonging the life of the blade. The back cover can also be removed and used as a blade snapper for added convenience.

In terms of versatility, these knives are able to cut through a variety of materials including drywall, roofing materials, linoleum, carpet, vinyl, and cardboard. They come in two blade width options – 3/8” and 3/4”, and are available in different pack sizes to suit individual needs.

The 3/8” knife is compatible with all 13-point 3/8” (9mm) break-away blades (IVY Classic 11052), while the 3/4” knife is compatible with standard 8-point 3/4” (18mm) break-away blades (IVY Classic 11054). These knives are equipped with a high-carbon blade, with the 3/8” blade measuring 0.016" thick and 3/8" (9mm) wide, and the 3/4” blade measuring 0.02" thick and 3/4" (18mm) wide. They offer 13 and 8 points per blade respectively.
